It’s Friday the 13th, which means it’s Jason Voorhees’s day! Take some time to celebrate with the new release of Friday the 13th Part 3. This new SteelBook edition has the 2020 2D remaster of the film along with a digital copy of the film and some previously released bonus content. If you missed out on this one, the plot goes like this:

A new crop of campers plays a deadly game of cat-and-mouse with the maniacal Jason, who acquires what will become his iconic mask from an unlucky victim.

In addition, Paramount Pictures is announcing the arrival of Friday the 13th to 4K Ultra HD on September 13th, 2022. It’s one of the most iconic horror films of all time, it’s getting the 4K treatment for the very first time. The new release includes HDR-10 and Dolby Vision support, both the theatrical and unrated versions of the movie, and previously released extensive legacy bonus content.

Hopefully, all this support for Friday the 13th means that there’s some interest in a new film in the series. We’ll have to see how all the legal turmoil surrounding the rights to the series goes.
