AMC’s Anne Rice universe has booked some new talent. Additional cast members for both their Mayfair Witches and Interview with the Vampire series were announced today.

Mayfair Witches Casting
AMC will adapt Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches novels into a series. The show focuses on an intuitive young neurosurgeon, Rowan, who discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations. AMC previously announced Alexandra Daddario would take on the lead role of Rowan.
The following stars will join the cast of AMC’s Mayfair Witches series:
Annabeth Gish (Midnight Mass) will recur as Diedre, Rowan’s birth mother.
Tongayi Chrisu (Palm Springs) will play Citroen as a series regular.
Beth Grant (No Country for Old Men) will recur as Carlotta, Diedre’s great aunt.
Erica Gimpel (God Friended Me) will recur as Ellie, Rowan’s adoptive mother.
Finally, Jen Richards (Her Story) will play Jojo, Cortland Mayfield’s daughter.
Mayfair Witches comes from Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford, who serve as writers, showrunners, and executive producers.
Interview with the Vampire Casting
AMC also announced an additional cast member for Interview with the Vampire:
Maura Grace Athari will play Antoinette, a blues singer “whose relationship with Lestat (Sam Reid) disrupts our two vampires’ domestic tranquility.”
Interview with the Vampire follows Louis, Lestat, and Claudia’s epic story of love, blood, and the perils of immortality. Athari joins previously announced cast members Jacob Anderson (Louis), Sam Reid (Lestat), and Bailey Bass (Claudia).
Both Mayfair Witches and Interview with the Vampire begun production this week in New Orleans.
