So, it looks like a lot of you spent last week getting your Regency romance on. The second season of Bridgerton reportedly smashed streaming records on Netflix.

Apparently, season 2 of the Shonda Rhimes period drama has been watched for a total of 251.7 million hours so far. Bridgerton officially returned with new episodes on Netflix March 25. During its premiere weekend, the show clocked 193 million viewing hours with fans. The show debuted on Netflix’s Top Ten list in 93 countries.

And the second season grabbed plenty of new Bridgerton-bingers. Or at least, plenty of season 1 re-watchers. The first season nabbed another 53 million views.

Bridgerton’s 250+ million viewers officially broke Netflix’s record for the most-viewed English-language TV series. (You’ll notice the English-language caveat; Korean hit Squid Game still holds the highest overall record at 571.8M.)

The previous record for most-watched English-language series came in February with Inventing Anna (196M hours).

Season 2 of Bridgerton follows Lord Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), the eldest Bridgerton sibling and Viscount, as he sets out to find a suitable wife. Driven by his duty to uphold the family name, Anthony’s search for a debutante who meets his impossible standards seems ill-fated until Kate (Simone Ashley) and her younger sister Edwina (Charithra Chandran) Sharma arrive from India. When Anthony begins to court Edwina, Kate discovers the true nature of his intentions — a true love match is not high on his priority list — and decides to do everything in her power to stop the union. But in doing so, Kate and Anthony’s verbal sparring matches only bring them closer together, complicating matters on both sides. Across Grosvenor Square, the Featheringtons must welcome the newest heir to their estate while Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) continues to navigate the ton whilst keeping her deepest secret from the people closest to her.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Bridgerton are available to stream on Netflix now.
