This time of year for horror fans is a bit of a desert. January seems to be the month where the non-Halloween films go, and October is still a ways away. What’s a horror fan to do? Thankfully Shudder doesn’t quit, they bring horror year-round. This April, the streaming service is giving fans a celebration of the halfway point to Halloween. The “Halfway to Halloween Hotline” returns with personalized horror movie recommendations as part of their Halfway to Halloween celebration. In addition, plenty of new and returning series make their way to Shudder.
New seasons of Cursed Films and The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs come alongside new films like Night’s End, The Cellar, Virus 32, See For Me, alongside other older content like Candyman and classic films. Craig Engler, General Manager of Shudder had this to say:
We’re curating a slate of the best in horror all year round, but April and October give us a unique opportunity to connect with and hear from our members directly about the movies they’re craving and what they love most about the genre. And we’re pairing that with an impressive lineup of new, fan-favorite titles, as we continue to go deep on the genre like only Shudder can.
