The first time we ever saw a lightsaber in action (Luke lighting it up in Ben Kenobi’s place doesn’t count) was in the cantina on Tatooine. It was there that Kenobi lopped off Ponda Boba’s arm in defense of a young Luke Skywalker. Now you can relive the scene in 6″ fashion as Hasbro Pulse announced a Cantina Showdown playset, among other Star Wars offerings! The new playset will be part of its exclusive Hasbro Pulse Con 2021 offerings. (The event will take place later this year.) There’s no price listed yet, but expect to open up the wallet. The Cantina Showdown playset includes three, 6″ Black Series figures and the cantina bar. Joining Obi-Wan Kenobi are Dr. Evazan and Ponda Boba (with arm intact).

Also from the original trilogy is a Vintage Collection Emperor’s Throne Room playset. That includes the iconic Death Star Window, Palpatine’s throne, and the Emperor himself. The Hasbro Pulse set even comes complete with Force lightning!

If you’re a fan of The Mandalorian, however, then the next Black Series figures is sure to entice. Fans of Dave Filoni, rejoice: Trapper Wolf is getting his own figure! Filoni made two cameos as the New Republic x-wing pilot, once in each season of the show. The Trapper Wolf set comes complete with helmet and blaster rifle. It too, like the Cantina Showdown and Emperor’s playsets, will be a Hasbro Pulse Con 2021 exclusive.

We can’t help but notice however that Hasbro Pulse is once again all-in on the original trilogy and The Mandalorian. Purposefully or not, the Star Wars sequel trilogy has seemingly become an afterthought with respect to new toy production.

Stay tuned here for more information on these items, including pricing, as we get closer to the event.
