Does anyone remember OPUS: The Day We Found Earth and its sequel OPUS: Rocket of Whispers? Well, as it turns out, there’s now going to be a third game in the series: OPUS: Echo of Starsong. And now it seems, it’s got an official teaser trailer.
SIGONO, the creators behind the OPUS series of science fiction games, is proud to announce their latest game: OPUS: Echo of Starsong with this teaser trailer. The trailer doesn’t reveal much of substance. It is a teaser trailer, after all. However, it does tease SIGONO’s signature fantastic anime-style artwork typical for the games. They even have a link to the game’s official website that has more information available. You can even apply for the game’s premiere. Just type in your email address, and you’ll get a free goodie in the form of a piece of concept music from the game.
The teaser trailer and the official website for OPUS: Echo of Starsong also gives us a release date of 2021. Admittedly, that’s a bit vague. However, at least we can expect this game sometime this year.
OPUS: Echo of Synopsis
The official website for OPUS: Echo of Starsong also contains a synopsis for the game’s plot. It’s not much, but it’s all we’ve got until we actually get to play the game itself. It goes as follows:
Flowing throughout the asteroids of an ancient exosystem, is a mysterious life force that only the gifted singer can trace. Those of the Far East, who seek out its channels, know them by the name of Rivers.
OPUS: Echo of Starsong is about a boy in search of the fabled Rivers, and the girl who lent him her voice.
Even the game’s tagline is “Lend me your voice, so that I may reach you across the waters of time and space”. Honestly, OPUS: Echo of Starsong is already shaping up to be as great a sci-fi/fantasy game as its predecessors, just from the teases alone. I have high hopes for this game.
Conclusion
SIGONO just released the official teaser trailer for OPUS: Echo of Starsong. Honestly, even just from this short trailer, the anime-style artwork, and the information from the game‘s official website alone; it’s giving me the feels. Once this sci-fi/fantasy adventure game comes out sometime in 2021, we’ll probably have to prepare for the arrival of those onion ninjas.
