Due to the pandemic, movie theaters shuttered their doors. But as vaccines roll out and public gatherings become safe again, movie lovers are itching to return to watch blockbusters on the big screen. And the explosive stunts of the Fast and Furious movies are exactly the kind of action theater lovers are looking for.

In a new clip from Universal, Vin Diesel himself welcomes fans back to movie theaters. (Amid plenty of awesome action shots from the upcoming F9, of course.

Plenty of movies are trying to entice audiences back to theaters now. But few are so uniquely poised as the Fast and Furious flicks to convince people. After all, the franchise is known for two things: family, and sick ass car stunts. To hear Vin Diesel himself welcome you back to the (movie-going) family fits perfectly with the brand. (And yeah, watching Dom slingshot his car off a cliff gets you pretty excited to see all the action in F9 unfold too. THEY’RE GOING TO SPACE!!)

In case you missed it, here’s the official description for F9:

Diesel’s Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob (John Cena).

The action hurtles around the globe—from London to Tokyo, from Central America to Edinburgh, and from a secret bunker in Azerbaijan to the teeming streets of Tbilisi. Along the way, old friends will be resurrected, old foes will return, history will be rewritten, and the true meaning of family will be tested like never before.
