Netflix has been on fire in 2021 with their true crime offerings. Up next is Sons of Sam: A Descent Into Darkness about the Son of Sam murders in New York in the 70’s. The story captivated people at the time. It’s only gotten more interesting as the years roll by. At the time, it was thought there was just one murderer, David Berkowitz. Now, we have good evidence that there might have been more than one Son of Sam killer roaming the streets.

Journalist and Author Maury Terry is convinced that there was more than one actor involved with the killings.

From Filmmaker Joshua Zeman (CROPSEY, MURDER MOUNTAIN), it draws on archival news footage, conversations with the people closest to the investigation, and Terry’s own words and case files to tell a cautionary tale of a man who went down a rabbit hole and never came out.

It’s another in a long line of fantastic true crime docuseries on Netflix. Sons of Sam: A Descent Into Darkness releases on Netflix, this May 5th. Across four episodes, we might just learn more about the Son of Sam killings than we thought.

So, what do you think of Sons of Sam?
