The season 5 premiere of Riverdale is just weeks away. And now the CW has a new teaser to get fans excited for the new episodes.

As you can see, we’re getting a little more about those creepy videos teased in the last season. (Of course, who’s behind them remains a mystery.)
And while all that is happening, the gang will still be trying to finish off their senior year. Expect the first few episodes of season 5 to give us both prom and graduation. Then, we’ll see a significant time jump that covers the college years – and a bit beyond.

“Chapter Seventy-Seven: Climax”: PROM NIGHT INTERRUPTED — Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead’s (Cole Sprouse) investigation into the auteur leads them to the discovery of a secret underground for red-band screenings. Elsewhere, in order to impress the visiting Naval Academy Commandant, Archie (KJ Apa) agrees to participate in a boxing exhibition against another candidate — KO Kelly (guest star Zane Holtz). Meanwhile, as Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) prepares for prom, she stumbles upon a major secret that Toni’s (Vanessa Morgan) been keeping from her.
The fifth season of the series will also see some new cast members. Erinn Westbrook (The Resident) joins as Tabitha Tate, who takes over Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe from her grandfather. And along with the time jump come new relationships. Chris Mason joins season 5 as Veronica’s husband, Chad Gekko.
Riverdale season 5 premieres January 20 on the CW.
