Cowboy Bebop shall ride eternal, for it is getting a shiny and chrome Steelbook Blu-ray box set!

Cowboy Bebop: Shiny and Chrome Edition
What a lovely day!

Basics

On June 26, 2020; Cowboy Bebop became historic when ComicBook announced that it’s getting a new Blu-ray box set. This may not excite you on its own, but there’s something shiny and chrome about this box set. It’s a Steelbook set, so you should expect it to be shiny and chrome, but it’s also durable, so you can take it with you to an apocalypse.

But wait, there’s more. The Cowboy Bebop Steelbook set used to be a Best Buy exclusive, but now no longer! Now Amazon also sells this shiny and chrome box set for the wonderful price of $39.99, same as Best Buy. Mind you, both of them are preorders, so you won’t get them immediately. Preordering from Best Buy will ship it on July 14, while Amazon will ship it sometime in September. It’s the same price either way, so which you’ll get will be up to you.

You can also opt for the Cowboy Bebop Blu-ray standard edition, which comes at the bargain price of $28.99 from both Best Buy and Amazon. Or, if you have money to burn, you can get the Amazon Exclusive Edition. It comes out at a whopping $89.98, but includes both Blu-ray and DVD in a 9-disc box set. Even better, it also includes an exclusive clamshell box art, 2 art books, and 227 minutes of extras on that 9th disc that includes the also-exclusive “Dinner about the Bebop”, featuring the original English cast. Is all that worth the $90? Well, you’re just going to have to decide that for yourself too.

Conclusion

Cowboy Bebop is getting a shiny and chrome Steelbook edition. What more could you want in a collectible, especially when the anime is getting a live-action adaptation from Netflix? So see you space cowboy, and prepare to ride eternal into the stars.
