It’s the start of the new year, and we already know that a new Dungeons and Dragons book is coming soon. But there’s something interesting about this new book…. So far, all we know is that it’s releasing on March 17th this year. Amazon already has a listing for it. This is the placeholder image for the book’s cover:

Here’s where it gets interesting. There is an accessory, also already listed on Amazon. It releases that same day, that looks to tie into this new book. The accessory is the “Forgotten Realms Laeral Silverhand’s Explorer’s Kit.” The official Dungeons and Dragons Website description reads:

Let Laeral Silverhand—Open Lord of Waterdeep, centuries-old archmage, and daughter of the goddess of magic—guide you on your path to adventure.

Includes:

  • Eleven dice (two d20s, one d12, two d10s, one d8, four d6s, one d4).
  • Twenty illustrated, double-sided cards detailing Laeral’s expert insights on key characters, locations, and lore from across the Forgotten Realms.
  • A durable, felt-lined box that functions as two dice trays.
Foldout double-sided map of the Sword Coast and the city of Waterdeep.

What this new Dungeons and Dragons book could be

We may have already learned about this book last August. Then, D&D’s Designer Katie Welch had said that actress Deborah Ann Woll and Critical Role‘s Creative Director and Cast Member Marisha Ray were working on a new book releasing sometime this year.

Comic Book had said that ” The new D&D product announcement seems to feature a series of short new adventures, which is a slight departure from recent D&D publications.”

This is awesome and interesting since there aren’t a lot of Dungeons and Dragons books that contain short adventures. But…. It seems this new book will be joining the likes of Baldur’s Gate: Descent Into Avernus, Tyranny Of Dragons, and Eberron: Rising From The Last War.

I can’t wait for the official announcement for this new Dungeons and Dragons book! And don’t forget – you can always stay tuned to That Hashtag Show on Monday, January 13th for the official book announcement.
