According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, former Intercontinental Champion, WWE Tag Team Champion, and former Impact World Champion, John Morrison is re-signing with WWE after an 11 year absence. Since he left WWE in 2011, Morrison has wrestled with: AAA, Impact, and Lucha Underground. In all of those promotions he was a top star that held their major championships.

During his original WWE run he was most well known for the tag team, MNM with Joey Mercury and Melina. Signing Morrison back to the company is a boon for business. With a move to FOX coming right around the corner, all three brands can use some extra star power. It’s unknown when his return date will be currently.

Outside of wrestling, the real-life John Hennigan was making a name for himself as an actor. Starring in: Sharknado 5, GLOW, Hercules Reborn, and many other credits. Fans of his can only dream about the matches he might have in WWE. Seeing him go up against guys like AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, or any other athletic guy would be a dream.

What do you think of John Morrison returning? Is it something that would make you watch WWE over AEW or any other wrestling programming? I loved Morrison during his first run with the company and he only got better outside of it. If WWE wants, they could have a major star on their hands for Raw, Smackdown, or NXT. NXT in particular could be a great spot for him to come back. He would be battling some of the best talent in the world. Who knows where he’ll show up though.
