Gearbox’s next game in the critically acclaimed Borderlands series, Borderlands 3, releases on September 13th. That Hashtag Show is going to have a review up as soon as possible for it but in the meantime, how can you prepare for the game? We have just the trick for you.

The Borderlands series is built upon quick time shooting and loot collecting. It’s at it’s core an RPG series but it features co-op gameplay that you and three of your friends can enjoy. You have at your disposal, four characters that offer different playstyles. Amara is the Siren. FL4K is the Beastmaster. Moze is the Gunner. Finally, Zane is the Operative. Each character plays like a class. The Gunner is a classic FPS style. The Beastmaster can control and summon three pets to help you in your fight. Amara is all about using Phase powers to fight in battle. Zane the Operative uses gadgets like a drone, a barrier shield, and a clone that distracts enemies to help you.

Borderlands Gameplay

The core gameplay of the previous Borderlands games was based on one planet. This time around gamers can go to multiple planets on their journey in the Borderlands. Pandora, the classic setting, returns to the game. In addition to it, you can go to Athenas, Eden-6, and Promethea for loot. Each world will have different enemies, environments, and weapons for you to find and use.

Borderlands 3 follows up Borderlands 1, 2, and The Pre-Sequel. To fully enjoy the game you don’t have to have played any of these, but there might be references in the classic Gearbox humor that you’ll miss out on.

At the end of the day Borderlands 3 will be about chaos, loot, and fun with your friends. Play the game on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC when it releases September 13th.
