Today at D23 Expo 2019 we finally got the official word from Marvel on the release of Black Panther 2. Kevin Feige and Ryan Coogler came to the D23 stage to give us the announcement that it will hit the theaters May 6th, 2022.
What we know
With the May 2022 release date Black Panther 2 could come the start of Phase 5 with Thor: Love and Thunder closing out Phase 4 in November 2021. Ryan Coogler will return to write and direct while Chadwick Boseman will be returning as T’Challa. We still did not receive any news on if Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, or Danai Gurira will be reprising their roles in the movie.
