Fans are eagerly awaiting to see what kind of Star Wars news and reveals they’re going to get from D23 Expo 2019 this year. Well, wait no longer. First images are starting to emerge, and That Hashtag Show has them!
Disney and Lucasfilm kicked the day of by Tweeting out the official poster for its upcoming Disney+ series The Mandalorian. You can see the poster, and the title character’s new, signature ship, in the tweet below:
For a better look at Pedro Pascal’s Mandalorian armor, check out one the first images of the scree-used costume to hit the Internet below. Joing him (or his costume, at least) is Gina Carrano’s, as well. There’s no question the costumes fits the dirtier, grittier feel that Jon Favreau was trying to achieve. This first-ever, live-action Star Wars series in franchise history gives us a whole new perspective.
New Star Wars Reveals from D23 Expo 2019
Not to be outdone with the Mandalorian reveal, Lucasfilm also gave fans a first look at another new Stormtrooper from The Rise of Skywalker. We already know Rey, Finn and Poe will have to face off against Sith Troopers. Now it seems the red-clad terrors will have airborne compatriots as well. Meet the Jet Trooper of Star Wars: Episode IX:
Fans attending Comic-Con International in San Diego last month were disappointed at the lack of a Star Wars presence there. We’re already starting to learn why: D23 Expo is going to have a plethora of reveals from the galaxy far, far away in Anaheim to make up for it. This afternoon fans will get the full, official trailer for The Mandalorian. Tomorrow, hopefully, we’ll get more information for The Rise of Skywalker as well.
