Trish Stratus is headed to SummerSlam! In a report that had broke earlier this week, The former WWF Women’s Champion is set to make an appearance at WWE’s SummerSlam. She is not only set to appear on the “hottest show of the summer”, but she will reportedly compete as well.
Charlotte Flair will be her opponent most likely. Charlotte has been out of the picture for quite some time now. Before two weeks ago, she hadn’t been on television for nearly a month. With her last match taking place on Smackdown LIVE in early June. She recently reemerged two weeks ago by defeating Liv Morgan, and losing in quick fashion to Ember Moon. Charlotte also cut a promo this past week on Smackdown LIVE. Stating her disappointment in being left off of SummerSlam, and then demanded a match on the show. She wanted a match against someone that would prove she’s the “best superstar of all time”.
Trish Stratus’s in-ring career came to an end in 2011. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame just two years later. While it seemed she would not compete ever again, that all change during the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match. Entering at number 30, it was indeed a shocker. She eliminated three other superstars before being eliminated by Sasha Banks. She tagged with Lita to take on Alicia Fox and Mickie James during the WWE Evolution event, and then a multi-women tag team match the following night on RAW.
If this happens, this would be Trish Stratus’s first single’s match in eight years. She had looked good in her more recent matches, but can she match up against Charlotte Flair? WWE is looking to make SummerSlam a gigantic event, and with this rumored
