Some exciting news has been decoded from an Imperial message today. The message was received from an area known as Walt Disney World Resort. Here is what it said when our ewok spies decoded it. “We’re opening STAR WARS: Rise of the Resistance December 5th at Walt Disney World Resort.” For some Disney fans this date might sound familiar, it is also Walt Disney’s birthday. Now we will get to see what excitement the Rise of the Resistance will add to Galaxy’s Edge.

The Rise of the Resistance
How exciting is this news coming from Disney today? The Rise of the Resistance will open first at Disney World and then Disneyland on January 17th 2020. STAR WARS fans who can already fly the Millennium Falcon will soon be able to hop a ride on a Star Destroyer and become a bigger part of their own STAR WARS story. Here is what Disney Parks said about the attraction:
“When it opens, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will blur the lines between fantasy and reality and will put guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Guests will be recruited to join Rey and General Organa at a secret base. Along the way, they will be captured by a First Order Star Destroyer. With the help of some heroes of the Resistance, they break out and must escape the Star Destroyer, protect the secret base, and stay one step ahead of Kylo Ren.”
Fans are ready
Many fans were surprised when it was announced that Galaxy’s Edge would open without the Rise of the Resistance back in May. This could be the reason that Galaxy’s Edge isn’t seeing the crowds that Disneyland expected. Now with Rise of the Resistance being the centerpiece of Galaxy’s edge it should bring in bigger crowds since there will be more to do in the park.
