Disney’s Aladdin is set for it’s theatrical release on May 24th. And IGN has released a new clip from the movie showing off one of the musical numbers.
This new clip is coming about a month or so after the latest trailer was released. We did get the barest clip of Aladdin and Jasmine singing ” A Whole New World.” But this clip is the first clip that has full-on singing in it.
This latest clip is showing off how vast the movie’s world is going to be. We know from the recent trailer, we got to see several classic locations from the old film. But we still haven’t heard all of the music from the film as of yet.
The box office predictions were released as well. The film is tracking to make at least $80 million+ opening weekend. That’s not terrible for a Disney film, but it’s not as much compared to The Jungle Book and Beauty And The Beast’s opening weekend numbers.
Also, Disney released new IMAX character posters. These four new posters highlight of the main characters in the film as seen below:
Aladdin Goes IMAX
Marwan Kenzari appears in Aladdin poster number 1 as Jafar, with his trusted parrot, Iago.
Next up is the genie himself, Will Smith. Absent in the poster is Genie’s blue skin from the original, animated feature.
Naomi Scott portrays Jasmine this time around in the live-action feature.
In the title role of Aladdin, Mena Massaud occupies the final IMAX poster Disney’s live action update of the 1992 animated classic.
Aladdin opens in theaters May 24th. And by the looks of this new clip, the films looks like it will be a another awesome Disney live-action adaption. Stay tuned here to that Hashtag Show for reviews and commentary once it hits theaters!
