Disneyland’s Project Stardust, the current park enhancement project, is underway. One main reason is to get the park ready for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Included in the project is the repainting of Sleeping Beauty Castle, and the new Pixar Pals Parking Structure.
This new structure is going to add 5,000 additional parking spaces to Disneyland. Disney is naming the project after six incredible Pixar films- The Incredibles, Coco, Monsters, Inc, Finding Nemo, Inside Out, and Cars.
Pixar Pals to Alleviate Disneyland Parking Woes
One other feature coming to the new Pixar Pals Parking Structure is an electronic parking system. Disney currently uses to system at the Walt Disney World resort in Orlando. Likewise, in the parking garages at Disney Springs. The system, frankly, is amazing. It lets guests know how many parking spaces are left, and which space number is available. It also lets you know if a particular level is full.
In addition to the new parking structure, the Toy Story Parking Structure is going to be getting an additional 2,000 extra spaces. Further, there will also be security screening tents for guests to go through before they get on the Toy Story parking tram.
This new structure sounds like it will help a lot by providing so many additional parking spaces for guests. It will certainly help for when Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disneyland.
