In Season 1 of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, the show certainly didn’t stray away from serious social problems. Tandy dealt with a drug addiction from the stress from her bad relationship with her mother and current life. Likewise, Tyrone had to police officers abusing their power to deal with. In Season 2 Tandy and Tyrone seem to have their past issues mostly wrapped up. Their relationship stronger, they now work to deal with human trafficking. They decide to use their powers to make a difference and have to grow and evolve even more if they want to do any good.

Marvel's Cloak & Dagger

One thing is certain about Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, Season 2. The bigger issue of human trafficking requires Tandy and Tyrone to train more and use new abilities that they develop. Tyrone it seems will become more and more comfortable with his powers. He will need them; the ability to teleport at fast speeds and at any time of his choosing will come in handy.

Tandy on the other hand, will learn a a signature ability from the comics. Namely, she’s have ability to create light bombs. Whether she uses them to cause harm or create distractions, well, that’s left to be seen. With the new challenges Season 2 will bring, it’s likely they’ll develop more abilities.
