Official footage from J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode IX has yet to be seen by anxiously awaiting fans. As of right now, we don’t event know the title of the final Skywalker installment. However, earlier today, a select group of Disney shareholders were given a first look at Episode IX footage in the form of a behind-the-scenes presentation.

Twitter user and apparent shareholder, Scott Ladewig was present for this screening and has caved into the demands of social media. He has since described a bit of what he saw, see below…

We saw a blockade runner in an abandoned looking hangar. An explosion knocking Stormtroopers in a starship hangar bay. Kylo Ren in a white room looking at the Vader helmet. Rey, Finn, Poe in Falcon cockpit.

We saw a marketplace (?) scene with Rey walking through and some aliens.

Lando briefly. Rey with Chewie’s bowcastet. Finn in some abandoned looking ship interior.

Here’s the takeaway…

1. Rey and Kylo in further scenes together. Once again, Kylo looking at Vader’s helmet. Could he be channeling a force ghost?

2. Lando! We don’t know how involved he is in the story, but just the fact that he’s featured in the behind-the-scenes footage gets us excited!

3. Rey with Chewie’s Bowcaster. Is she borrowing it, or is this a sign of the Wookiee’s possible demise?

4. The three new Star Wars characters piloting the Millennium Falcon. How will this sit with the fandom?

If you’d like to dig deeper into his account and these conversations, we have embedded the original tweets below. Let us know what you think of the scenes described and how they may play out. Enjoy and may the Force be with you, always!

Have fun with the speculation and as always, may the Force be with you!
