Well, we didn’t have to wait long for the announcement of ALL ELITE WRESTLING, and the second ALL IN entitled DOUBLE OR NOTHING.
Twitter went absolutely nuts after the release of the latest episode of Being The Elite. It ends with The Young Bucks and CODY showing the graphic of Double or Nothing on their phones, while Hangman Page shows off the new All Elite Wrestling logo.
In an article posted yesterday over at ProWrestlingSheets.com, the rumors of Tony Khan being involved were correct. A source has confirmed that the Jacksonville Jaguars co-owner will serve as the President of the company. Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks will reportedly be Executive Vice Presidents.
The other bit of news is that the group will be holding a rally at TIAA Field (the home of the Jaguars) featuring The Bucks, Cody, Brandi Rhdoes, Hangman Page, and all three members of SCU. It’s also going to include merchandise from ProWrestlingTees and a stream of the rally that has yet to be announced.
Moments after the official announcement of AEW, Dave Meltzer had a lot of news and rumors to add to the pile. Reports that AEW is fielding multiple (yes, multiple) offers from various television companies even sweetens the news.
We said 2019 was going to be a very interesting year for Professional Wrestling. AEW is seemingly being backed by someone with a huge pocket (Khan family is estimated to be worth $6.3 billion!). WWE is apparently willing to spend “much hire than usual” on free agents, so this could be a great year if you’re a wrestler with an expiring contract.
We will make sure to keep you updated as soon as more All Elite Wrestling news sees the light of day!
