Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt and Bojack Horseman star Amy Sedaris has been cast in Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Lion King.
Variety has reported that the star will be in the movie joining the already amazing and talented voice cast including Donald Glover, Beyonce, James Earl Jones, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, and Alfre Woodard. This character is going to be a new character that wasn’t established in the 1994 animated film.
Her character will be an elephant shrew, named for their noses that resemble elephant trunks. These tiny mammals are native to Africa, and is known to run at top speed.
The unknown is the character’s name, and how this character will be involved in the story overall. The film is releasing July 19th, 2019, so there is still plenty of time for other characters to get announced, and for backstories of these new characters to get revealed.
