Star Wars Planets No. 1: Tatooine

Star Wars Planets

When it comes to the episodic Star Wars films and the Skywalker saga they tell, there is no more important planet than Tatooine. Bleak and barren it may be, it was Anakin Skywalker’s birthplace. A chance encounter with Qui-Gon Jin brought the “chosen one” into the galactic fold, and the galaxy was never the same. Years later, the fate of the galaxy again rested in the dusty sands of Tatooine.

Following Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor’s daring raid on Scarif, the Death Star plans they stole found their way to Luke Skywalker. Twice the planet of Tatooine served up a Skywalker that would have a greater impact on the galaxy than anyone could possibly imagine.

[Honorable Mention: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’s Scarif. Because, I mean, beaches and palm trees. In Star Wars.]

What other planets do think should be on this list? Let us know your thoughts. We here at That Hashtag Show welcome fan input. I’d love to do a “fan’s choice” follow-up if we get enough responses.
