When Blue Eye Samurai made its global streaming debut on Netflix on November 3, 2023; it was a hit. A veritable hit, really. Critics and audiences alike gave this anime-esque animated Netflix series rave reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, 18 critics collectively gave this series a score of 100%. Meanwhile, over 500+ reviews gave it a combined score of 96%. No matter how you look at it, this animated samurai period drama is a huge deal for Netflix. Netflix’s Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 : Details
Netflix has just recently announced that they have renewed Blue Eye Samurai for a second season. Mind you, this announcement came soon after Vanity Fair recently named this adult animated series starring Maya Erskine as the voice of Mizu as one of the Best TV Series of 2023. That’s pretty high praise coming from one of the biggest pop culture magazines on the planet, and fully explains this Nerflix renewal.
