Daredevil: Born Again had its big New York City premiere last night and the stars were out. Marvel Television brings back Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio for the new Disney+ series. Both Daredevil and Kingpin were on-hand to celebrate the show. Daredevil: Born Again’s premiere had a different energy to it as New York City played host to Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Ayelet Zurer and more.
Marvel Studios is really leaning-in on the New York City influence with Daredevil: Born Again. A recent featurette explains how the star and the iconic locations hanging over every scene lend the new show gravity. Cox and D’Onofrio agreed that you really couldn’t stage this show anywhere else.

“The cars, the noise, the visuals, the people. It would be impossible to recreate,” Cox offered. “It’s in the fabric of both of these men.”
D’Onofrio added, “The best thing about New Yorkers is they say whatever they want.” His co-star would joke that a person on the street casually dropped a “Yo, DD!” while they were in the middle of shooting a scene.
How Does Daredevil: Born Again Reintroduce Matt Murdock?

“In “Daredevil: Born Again,” Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.”
“The series also stars Jon Bernthal. Dario Scardapane is showrunner. Episodes are directed by Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd; and executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Sana Amanat, Chris Gary, Dario Scardapane, Matt Corman & Chris Ord, and Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead.”
