Star Wars: Andor Season 2 Celebrates Release with Hollywood Red Carpet Event

Star Wars: Andor had a big Season 2 celebration with a red carpet. Star Wars Celebration is beginning in Japan. Diego Luna, Forest Whitaker, Genevieve O’Reilly, Adria Arjona, Kyle Soller, Denise Gough and Benjamin Norris all walked the carpet in Hollywood though.

Tony Gilroy is the filmmaker who helped craft Star Wars: Andor Season 2. Executive producers Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg and John Gilroy made appearances. People in attendance also got to see a cast and creator conversation about Andor Season 2.

Andor fans lock in for the Disney+ season premiere on April 22. But, in an exciting bit of news, the Star Wars series will also premiere on ABC and FX on Wednesday April 23 at 10 pm ET/PT.

Star Wars: Andor Season 2 Gets Hollywood Red Carpet Celebration

Lucasfilm describes the upcoming episodes: “The second season of Andor takes place as the horizon of war draws near and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound.”

Rife with political intrigue and danger, the series is a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which portrayed a heroic band of rebels who steal the plans to the Empire’s weapon of mass destruction—The Death Star—setting the stage for the events of the original 1977 film. 

“Andor sets the clock back five years from the events of Rogue One to tell the story of the film’s hero, Cassian Andor, and his transformation from disinterested, cynical nobody into a rebel hero on his way to an epic destiny.”  

Season 2 begins the journey towards this revolutionary story on April 22 on Disney+ and April 23 on ABC!
