Guns N’ Roses parted ways with their longtime drummer Frank Ferrer yesterday after 19 years of service. Today, they’ve announced that Isaac Carpenter will replace Ferrer in the band.
Carpenter will hit the road with the band on their current 2025 European, Asian, and Middle East Tour that headlines stadiums and festivals throughout the summer and into the fall.
Isaac Carpenter was born in Washington and is an accomplished drummer in his own right. He’s played with Duff McKagan, Adam Lambert, A Perfect Circle, and is a session musician for Film and Television. His style blends versatility and groove with technical skill. That sure sounds like the perfect drummer for a band like Guns N’ Roses who plays different styles each song every night. He’ll have to live up to previous drummers like Ferrer, Matt Sorum, and Steven Adler, who all made their mark on various GNR studio records and live shows.
Guns N’ Roses 2025 Tour Dates

Earlier this week the band announced the amicable exit of Frank Ferrer from the band after 19 years.
Here’s what the full announcement said:
“The band thanks Frank for his friendship, creativity, and sturdy presence over the past 19 years, and wish him success in the next chapter of his musical journey. Frank first joined GNR during a show in June 2006 helping anchor the rhythm section during subsequent tours, including their recent outings featuring the reunited trio of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan. His last show with the band took place November 5th, 2023 in Mexico.”
So, what do you think of their choice for a new drummer in Guns N’ Roses?
