Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan have re-teamed up for yet another blockbuster in Sinners. Knowing this, you’re probably sitting in the movie theater watching the credits, wondering, “is there a post-credits scene in Sinners?” Marvel has popularized the post-credits scene in their films. Normally, they act as a fun joke or a tease of something to come in the future installment. Sitting through the credits is a rite of passage for those films. But what about a regular film like Sinners? Here’s what you need to know.
And don’t fret, there are absolutely zero spoilers for Sinners in this article.
Does Sinners Have A Post-Credits Scene?

The long and the short of the answer is yes. If you’re waiting to see if you can go stand by the exit or wait in your seat, there are two scenes during and after the credits. One plays after the normal credits for cast and main crew, the other is after the credits entirely.
The credits play the new song from Hailee Steinfeld over some traditionally styled credits that show off the cast and crew, including director and writer Ryan Coogler. After that comes the first scene that’s quite lengthy for one of these types of scenes. It helps wrap up questions you might have after the film and leaves you with a sense of closure. For post-credits scenes, this one is quite important to the story.
The other scene comes after the credits stop rolling and is a nice easter egg for those who have been paying attention to the movie.
So, The End Credits Scene Actually Matters?

Yes! It does. SInners feels like the opening of a brand new world. The characters and setting are rich and vibrant with energy and feel lived in. You’re dropped right into this world at the start of the movie and it quickly changes and then changes even more again after that. This mid-credits scene helps to solidify that world-building from Ryan Coogler. But that’s all you’re going to get, you’ll have to see the film for yourself to learn more about it.
Sinners releases in theaters on April 18th, 2025.
