Don’t stop believing. Today, Apple TV+ announced that Ted Lasso is officially returning for a fourth season. The new season will reunite the creative team, with Jason Sudeikis reprising his award-winning role as the celebrated Coach Ted Lasso. The series was a critical success for Apple TV+ with season one becoming the most Emmy-nominated comedy series in its first season. It also won back-to-back Outstanding Comedy Series Emmys for its first two seasons.

Ted Lasso Returns

No casting news has been announced other than the return of Sudeikis as Coach Lasso. However, in a shift from the first 3 seasons, Sudeikis revealed a major change for Season 4. While on Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, the actor confirmed. “We’re writing Season 4 now. That’s the official word. Ted’s coaching a women’s team.” Given this change in teams, it will be interesting to see who, if any, of the cast members from the previous seasons are featured or cameo in the new season.

Both Sudekis and Apple TV+ are understandably excited about the new season.
