Prime Video has unveiled the premiere date and first-look images for its upcoming comedy series, Overcompensating! The new series is created by and starring Benito Skinner.

Overcompensating dives into the zany and tumultuous life of Benny, (Skinner), a former football player and homecoming king grappling with his identity as a closeted gay man. Alongside him is Carmen, played by Wally Baram, a high school outsider determined to fit in at any cost. The duo navigates the ups and downs of college life, aided by Benny’s older sister, (Mary Beth Barone), and her legendary boyfriend, Adam DiMarco. Together, they tackle a whirlwind of disastrous hookups, flavored vodka escapades, and the challenges of using fake IDs. The series promises a blend of humor and heartfelt moments as it examines the lengths people go to while discovering their true selves.

Overcompensating is created, written, and executive produced by Benito Skinner, with Scott King serving as showrunner and executive producer. Jonah Hill, Matt Dines, and Ali Goodwin also contribute as executive producers for Strong Baby.

The cast features a talented ensemble, including Wally Baram (Shrinking), Mary Beth Barone (Black Mirror), Adam DiMarco (The White Lotus), and Rish Shah (Ms. Marvel). The show will also feature guest appearances from notable actors such as Connie Britton, Kyle MacLachlan, and Kaia Gerber, among others.

The eight-episode season will premiere on May 15, 2025
