This weekend, Lilo & Stitch held firm in the top spot while Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning stayed strong in its second frame. Newcomers Karate Kid: Legends and Bring Her Back entered the ring with mixed results. Meanwhile, Final Destination: Bloodlines continued its downward spiral as horror fatigue set in.
Lilo & Stitch Still Dominates the Box Office

Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch retained its number one spot at the box office with a hefty $63 million in its second weekend. That’s a 56.9% drop, but with $280.1 million total already banked, the film is still on track for a $400 million domestic finish. The nostalgia factor combined with Disney’s global muscle is working its usual magic.
Mission: Impossible Finds Its Footing

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning followed closely behind with $27.3 million, a 57.4% drop from its opening. With $122.6 million domestic so far, the film is doing decent business but it’s no Fallout. At this pace, it will depend heavily on international box office to hit profitability. Tom Cruise remains watchable as ever, but franchise fatigue may be creeping in.
Karate Kid: Legends Makes a Solid Debut

Opening at number three, Karate Kid: Legends delivered a respectable $21 million, which is on track for my prediction from last week. The success of the Cobra Kai streaming has kept the brand relevant, and this theatrical outing should hold up well with families and teens at the box office. If word of mouth holds, it could leg out past $60 million.
Final Destination: Bloodlines Loses Box Office Steam
Final Destination: Bloodlines slipped 44.2% in its third weekend, pulling in $10.8 million. That brings its total box office earnings to $111.7 million. Not bad, but it’s clearly past its peak. Horror fans showed up early, but the film’s staying power is limited with stronger genre entries waiting in the wings later this summer.
Bring Her Back Starts Quietly
Debuting in fifth place, A24’s Bring Her Back pulled $7.08 million from 2,449 screens. That’s modest, but expected for a thriller of this scale. A24 is known for long-tail box office success stories, and this one will need strong audience reception to avoid vanishing next weekend.
Will Ballerina Dance to the Top?
Ballerina is tracking for a debut between $39 million and $48 million. With brand recognition tied to the John Wick universe, it has strong potential to draw both action fans and general audiences. Early ticket sales are solid, and if it connects with fans the way past entries have, a $45 million opening looks likely.
As always, we’ll find out how the box office shapes up next week.
