Get ready for a wild ride with the latest thriller from the writer of The Babysitter and Cocaine Bear, Borderline.

Final Girl Samara Weaving stars as a 90s popstar, Sofia, who finds herself the target of an obsessed stalker named Duerson (Ray Nicholson). The film takes you on a suspenseful journey through Duerson’s deteriorating mental state. After breaking out of his grippy sock vacation, Duerson is ever more driven by his twisted fantasies to marry Sofia, no matter the cost.

However, this time he’s not alone. Backed by Penny (Alba Baptista), a deranged woman, joins forces with him. Together, the duo hatches a dangerous plan to make his delusional dreams a reality.

BORERLINE IS WILD AND MESSY RIDE

Borderline is an absolute must-see. The film is wildly entertaining, driven by Ray Nicholson’s  (Smile 2) captivating performance as an insanely charming, and equally terrifying delusional stalker. I love that they took the character away from a creeper in a basement turning him into a compelling portrayal of a handsome and sympathetic man grappling with a mental breakdown. Nicholson and Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) have fantastic chemistry.  Their witty banter and shared descent into bloody chaos make for a truly riveting watch.

Another highlight for me is Alba Baptista (Warrior Nun). Her performance as Penny injects a welcome dose of dark humor into the film. You can see how much she relishes the opportunity to portray such an unhinged character in every frame, while delivering some truly gag-worthy moments.

Borderline is a film that truly delivers some jaw-dropping moments. The intensity and graphic nature of the violence are both surprising and exhilarating. The film pulls no punches, showcasing a raw and visceral portrayal that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Each shocking scene is expertly crafted, drawing you deeper into its gritty narrative.

Borderline comes to theaters Friday, March 14th! Run. Don’t walk.
