“St. Denis Medical”, the comedy medical mockumentary on NBC, is well into the first season. We have gotten to know the doctors and nurses that make up the understaffed Oregon hospital. What makes the series great, is that we’ll have the opportunity to continue to follow their adventures in the medical field in a second season.

A CHAT WITH A TRAUMA SURGEON

As this current season of “St. Denis Medical” continues, I spoke with Josh Lawson. In the series, he plays Dr. Bruce a trauma surgeon. In our conversation, we chat about how he developed his character including maybe watching other medical series or real doctors at work. Lawson also shares with us his relationship with David Alan Grier who plays Dr. Ron. Throughout the series, they have some really fun moments together. He tells us how he hopes that with a second season (and maybe beyond) they can continue to expand on recurring gags that invested fans will love. It was a fantastic conversation that you can check out below!
