Scream 7 has made some serious waves in the horror movie community lately with some of its casting choices. They’ve recently brought back several dead characters and their performers with David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, and Scott Foley. Now, according to Deadline, the movie has added Landman standout Michelle Randolph and Jimmy Tatro to the cast. Paramount is putting out the seventh film in the long-running franchise on February 27th, 2026. Kevin Williamson, the creator of the Scream franchise is directing the film with a script from Guy Busick, who wrote Scream (2022) and Scream VI.
As for who both these actors will play, like all the other details about the film, are under wraps. The original run of the series was Scream to Scream 3. Then we got Scream 4 in 2011, which was the final film in the series directed by Wes Craven. It returned in 2022 with Scream and the most recent film was Scream VI. That film came out in March 2023 and holds the franchise record for highest domestic box office gross with more than $108 million. The next film could push the franchise over $1 billion at the worldwide box office.
They join Neve Campbell, Mason Gooding, and Jasmin Savoy Brown alongside the new group of Isabely May, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, McKenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mark Consuelos, and Ethan Embry.
Who Are Michelle Randolph And Jimmy Tatro?

Michelle Randolph is coming off a star-making performance in Paramount+’s Landman from Taylor Sheridan. She plays the daughter of Billy Bob Thornton’s character. The role has made her a major star and attracted a lot of attention across Hollywood. This would be her first feature role since the show aired. She’s also in the Yellowstone spin-off 1923 that also airs on Paramount+.
Jimmy Tatro should be well-known to comedy fans. He’s starred in projects like The Real Bros Of Simi Valley, Home Economics, and 22 Jump Street. He’s coming off a role in Theater Camp and will be in the upcoming You’re Cordially Invited from Amazon Studios.
Scream 7 has seen some major turmoil behind the scenes even before it went into production. It was originally set to be directed by Christopher Landon with Radio Silence dropping out to direct Abigail and Ready Or Not 2. Scream 5 and VI star Melissa Barerra was fired by Spyglass Media for her comments on the Israel-Palestine conflict. Jenna Ortega also had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with Wednesday and other projects. The two leading ladies signaled the end of that era of the franchise. Landon dropped out as director soon after. Kevin Williamson was brought on in his stead to direct the film.
