The Final Destination franchise truly defined – and terrorized – a generation. (After all, how many of us still won’t drive behind a log truck?) Now, the horror franchise returns with a new chapter, Final Destination Bloodlines

Check out your first look at the feature in the trailer below.

In under two and a half minutes, Bloodlines reminds Final Destination fans just what makes these movies so successful: their ability to build a level of anticipation, dread, and anxiety that’s truly off the charts. And to ultimately relieve that tension with some unpredictable, Rube Goldberg-esque gruesome kills.

Bloodlines marks the sixth film in the Final Destination franchise, each of which chronicles the lives of people who narrowly avoid a disastrous fate, only to find themselves stalked by Death’s relentless presence. In this latest chapter, a college student plagued by a recurring violent nightmare returns home to find the one person who can break the cycle and save her family from the horrific fate that inevitably awaits them.

Final Destination Bloodlines stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, and Brec Bassinger. Tony Todd also reprises his recurring role in the franchise; the movie marks Todd’s last film appearance, following his death last November.

The screenplay comes from Guy Busick (Ready or Not, Scream (2022)) and Lori Evans Taylor (Cellar Door, Bed Rest). Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky (Freaks, Kim Possible) direct.

Final Destination Bloodlines will premiere in theaters May 16. Until then, check back to THS for more updates.
