Disney teased a release date for Freaky Friday 2’s trailer! On social media, the studio posted a clip with the words “Things are about to get FREAKIER…” Disney also has a background on the thumbnail with the classic Freaky Friday purple and lime background. Encouraging people to “make good choices tomorrow…” has never felt more interesting.

Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are back for Freaky Friday 2. The movie is the long-awaited follow-up to the 2003 Disney comedy. Lohan and Curtis play a mother and daughter who swap bodies unexpectedly. Millennial nostalgia is huge right now, and it’s easy to see this movie gaining some real steam among movie-goers of a certain age. Freaky Friday 2 is being billed as “a sequel to the beloved 2003 film with a multigenerational twist.” Tess and Anna have navigated their identity crisis and now there’s another generation to contend with. Things always get a little hectic when two families merge. Tess and Anna could end up having lightning strike twice.

Disney has confirmed that fans will see Mark Harmon and Chad Michael Murray back for the sequel. Christina Vidal Mitchell, Lucille Soong, Haley Hudson, Rosalind Chao and Stephen Tobolowsky are also coming back. So, there’s just a ton of familiar faces on Freaky Friday 2. Manny Jacinto, Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan are all joining this project too.
