The final day of CinemaCon 2025 saw The Walt Disney Company close out the studio presentations. The studio offered film updates for its upcoming animated and live action projects, as well as Marvel movies under the Disney umbrella.

Ahead of the presentation, CinemaCon attendees received Marvel’s Thunderbolts* themed boxes, as well as a pair of 3D glasses hinting at the experience to come. Disney then opened the presentation with a typical sizzle reel of its films – only to be interrupted by Stitch jumping into different Disney properties like The Lion King and Fantastic Four.

Next, a look at the studio’s 2025 slate appeared on screen. Titles displayed include: Marvel’s Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps; Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch; Pixar’s Elio; sequels to Freaky Friday and Zootopia, and the third Avatar film, Fire and Ash; plus Tron: Ares, The Amateur, Predator: Badlands, Ella McCay, The Roses, and Deliver Me From Nowhere. You can see the slate pictured below. (Unlike the other presentations at CinemaCon, Disney allowed attendees to take pictures during the event, as long as footage wasn’t being shown.)

Check out a full recap of everything Disney announced at CinemaCon below.

Lilo & Stitch

Disney kicked things off with a look at the new Lilo & Stitch. Footage played for the CinemaCon audience included a scene where Stitch pretends to be a dog, and one where he plays with a soda gun in a Western parody.

The live-action adaptation of Disney’s 2002 animated feature Lilo & Stitch officially arrives May 23.

Freakier Friday

Next, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan took the stage for Freakier Friday. The duo will reprise their roles from the 2003 Disney flick for a new body-swap comedy for the modern day.

The CinemaCon presentation included screening new footage from the film, which premieres this summer, August 8.

Tron: Ares

Now, another franchise follow-up a long time in the making. Jared Leto and Jeff Bridges hit the CinemaCon stage to promote Tron: Ares. Leto discussed being a fan of the previous films, saying he was “obsessed” with Tron as a kid.

Footage from the film screened during the presentation showed a light cycle cutting a car in half, as well as various vehicles of the grid coming into our world.

Tron: Ares premieres in theaters October 10.

Predator: Badlands

From one sci-fi world to another… up next: Predator: Badlands. The film’s star Elle Fanning appeared to promote the film at CinemaCon. The audience saw a trailer.

Predator: Badlands premieres in theaters November 7.

Deliver Me From Nowhere

Branching out, an upcoming feature from 20th Century Studios. Deliver Me from Nowhere is a biographical musical drama about the life of Bruce Springsteen. Jeremy Allen White, who plays Springsteen in the film, appeared at CinemaCon. Jeremy Strong also joined White on stage.

White told the audience the biopic received Springsteen’s blessing. The story will culminate with the release of the album “Nebraska.”

The film premieres later this year.

Ella McCay

Another 20th Century Studios drama, Ella McCay, took the stage next. Emma Mackey, who plays the title character, joined the presentation along with co-star Curtis. (And yes, Curtis returned to the stage in a new outfit for her second Disney presentation appearance.)

The film follows an idealistic young politician who juggles familial issues and a challenging work life while preparing to take over the job of her mentor, the state’s longtime incumbent governor.

Ella McCay premieres in theaters September 19.

The Roses

Next up, Searchlight Pictures’ The Roses. In the film, a tinderbox of competition and resentments underneath the façade of a picture-perfect couple is ignited when the husband’s professional dreams come crashing down. Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman play the lead roles. The film’s cast also includes Andy Samberg, Kate McKinnon, Jamie Demetriou, Ncuti Gatwa, and Sunita Mani.

The CinemaCon presentation revealed key art for the film featuring Colman and Cumberbatch. You can see it in the image above.

The comedy/drama premieres in theaters August 29.

Thunderbolts*

In Marvel’s Thunderbolts*, an unconventional team of antiheroes must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts. The film’s key characters include Bucky Barnes, Yelena Belova, Red Guardian, U.S. Agent, Taskmaster, Sentry, Ghost, and Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.

Before the Disney presentation began, CinemaCon attendees snagged some Thunderbolts* themed popcorn boxes.

When it came time to showcase the film during the presentation, Disney and Marvel brought out several of the film’s stars. Cast members appearing on stage included David Harbour, Florence Pugh, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

The cast then showed new footage of Thunderbolts* to the CinemaCon audience. The clips showed the team talking about their various abilities – Yelena’s Widow Bite tasers, Red Guardian and Bucky with their super soldier serum enhancements. Then, they break out of a truck and start fighting.

Thunderbolts* releases in theaters May 2.

Fantastic Four & Avengers: Doomsday

marvel fantastic four cast announcement

Marvel teased two more films on their slate during the Disney CinemaCon presentation.

First, Kevin Feige appeared on video from the set of Avengers: Doomsday. He revealed that the film will start principle photography in just a few days. No other updates on this one. (You got chairs. What more could you ask for?)

Next, a look at The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The CinemaCon audience was treated to first-look footage of the Silver Surfer. The film releases this summer on July 25.

Elio

Moving on from Marvel, Disney launched into its next offering from Pixar Animation: Elio. The story follows a young space fanatic with an active imagination, finds himself on a cosmic misadventure where he must form new bonds with alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions and somehow discover who he is truly meant to be.

Audiences at CinemaCon saw new footage. The film premieres in theaters June 20.

Zootopia 2

Zootopia 2 kicked off the next portion with a CinemaCon-themed presentation with animal versions of all the films on display. Ke Huy Quan came out to introduce his new character, Gary the Snake. Gary is the first snake ever in Zootopia, so naturally, everyone is after him. The next bit of footage saw our two main characters in partner’s therapy with a new character named Dr. Fuzzby, played by Quinta Brunson.

Finally, the two went to the water animal area of Zootopia to find the snake.

Avatar: Fire And Ash

To finish the presentation, James Cameron welcomed the room via video to the world of Pandora once more. He thanked theater owners for the success of Avatar 1 and 2 and introduced Zoe Saldana to the stage. Zoe Saldana set up the stakes and what we were going to see with the footage. Back on the 3D glasses went and the crowd was treated to some mind-blowing footage of the Sully family and their new tribe being attacked by rogue Na’vi.

That closed out Disney’s presentation and CinemaCon 2025!
