Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is one of the most hotly anticipated entries in DC Studios’ newest catalogue of superhero films. Not least of which is because, true to its title, it’s going to be one of the few superhero films starring a female superhero. In this case: Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, otherwise known as the titular Supergirl.

Thus, it’s easy to see why DC Studios would be so eager to promote Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow like no tomorrow. Especially since the film will make its North American theatrical debut on June 26, 2026. Also, it’s easy to see why James Gunn himself would step in to promote the film. He is the co-CEO of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran, of course. What is this promotion, you might ask? Well, it’s a little photo he uploaded to his Twitter account (via Rotten Tomatoes) just now. You can take a look at that photo below:

James Gunn Shares New Photo Of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow On Twitter

And reading a highly appropriate piece of comic book literature to boot.

As you can see above, this new photo is of Milly Alcock herself. And if you look at what she’s holding in her hands, you can easily see that she’s holding a copy of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow by writer Tom King and artist Bilquis Evely. You know, the very comic book miniseries this upcoming film is based on? Yeah, you can easily see why this photo is a case of double promotion. One for the film, and the other for the comic book it’s based on. Alas, that’s it. The only info actually in the Twitter post is the theatrical debut date, and that’s it. We’ll just have to wait for DC Studios to come back to us with more information at a later date.

What do you think? Are you more excited for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow when it hits theaters just from this photo? Share your thoughts with us below in the comments section?
