Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld just dropped a brand-new trailer ahead of the series’ premiere. Disney+ is celebrating Star Wars Day with a fresh installement in the “Tales” anthology aries. Tales of the Jedi helped fill in some of their history and now it’s time for things to get a little bit grey.

Lucasfilm and Disney+ are hyping six episodes that focus on some fan-favorites from all across Star Wars history. You’ve got Cad Bane back in the fold and Asajj Ventress along for the ride as well. The Clone Wars fans have to be ecstatic about seeing so many familiar faces in Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld. 

In the new clip from the series, Ventress and Bane are trying to carve their way in a world ruled by the Empire. Order 66 did a number on so many people and our two leads are no different. (Time to revisit Star Wars: The Bad Batch for more on what Ventress has been up to before we meet up with her here.) With the bounty hunter, there’s a blasterfight bubbling on the surface.

Star Wars has enlisted Dave Filoni in creating the series. He’s serving as supervising director for Tales of the Underworld. Carrie Beck and Athena Yvette Portillo also executive produce with Josh Rimes. Matt Michnovetzs wrote the series and Alex Spotswood is the senior producer.

This May is going to be exciting. Here’s the synopsis for Tales of the Underworld: “Streaming on Disney+ this Star Wars Day, May the 4th, Tales of the Underworld is a six-episode journey following two notorious bounty hunters: former dark side assassin Asajj Ventress as she’s given a new chance at life and must go on the run with an unexpected new ally, and outlaw Cad Bane as he faces his past when he confronts an old friend, now a marshal on the other side of the law.”
