Netflix announced a new adult animated romantic comedy called Mating Season today. The streamer has had some real wins with Big Mouth and BoJack Horseman. Now, Mating Season will hit Netflix in 2026. Brutus Pink will work on the new series to bring the laughs like they did on Big Mouth. 

Mating Season focuses on the animal world and how this varied cast of furry friends finds love. It’s equal parts hysterical and human, which is funny because they’re animals! Mark Levin is the creator of Mating Season. Nick Kroll, Jennifer Flackett, Andrew Goldberg are executive producers. Titmouse is also producing the new show.

John Derderian, Vice President of Animation Series at Netflix said, “Big Mouth broke new ground in the world of adult animation with heart, humor and total chaos — they took the awkwardness of adolescence and turned it into something universal and deeply human.” 

He adds, “Working with Nick Kroll and the brilliant minds at Brutus Pink over the course of eight seasons has been legendary. Now, with Mating Season, they’ll bring that same bold and hilarious creativity into the animal kingdom. We’re beyond excited to unleash this next chapter together.”

Mating Season Comes to Netflix in 2026

Brutus Pink is excited to re-team with their friends. Big Mouth really took off for Netflix and Titmouse. They’re hoping for more fun times in the woods. Brutus Pink said, “After eight incredible seasons telling stories about growing up, we’re excited to tell stories about actual grown-ups.  Who happen to be animals.  Who are also cartoons.” 

Mating Season is created and executive produced by Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett, Andrew Goldberg and Nick Kroll with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina serving as executive producers for Titmouse.
