Ice Age star John Leguizamo is already teasing Ice Age 6. The beloved actor spoke to Collider about re-entering that world. Leguizamo says that Ice Age 6 is going to be “a milestone in children’s lives.” He’s probably right as the series has been around for such a stretch at this point. They’ve grown up with Sid and all of these characters.
“People have grown up with the whole series and it’s sort of a milestone in children’s lives,” Leguizamo explained. “Now it’s like the grandparents are coming with the parents and grandchildren, and it’s a very sentimental journey for a lot of people — so I thought it would be a beautiful experience. The movie is really funny and cool. A lot of action, a lot of hilarity from Ray Romano, Denis Leary, and hopefully myself.”
John Leguizamo Teases Ice Age 6
Ice Age fans were treated to the Adventures of Buck Wild back in 2022. Opossum brothers Crash and Eddie headed back into the Lost World for a fresh adventure. Simon Pegg had wanted Buck Wild to get some spotlight for years at that point. He sees the entire franchise as ripe for possibility, even after all these years.
“It was lovely to see a new story coming to life and see this character in new environments,” Pegg told the collected press back then. “I remember when they first showed me the picture of Zee, because it was really exciting because it’s like another Buck. I know she’s a zorilla, but she’s totally his equal and a sort of counterpart to him in so many brilliant ways. And just getting excited about, oh, he’s got a partner and it just felt like all the possibilities that have eventually now come to fruition felt very possible.”
