It seems like Walt Disney World might be inching closer to opening back up. Park officials announced that Disney Springs would start their phased opening plan on May 20th. If you’re planning on going, however, take note: full service will not yet be avialable.
AS of right now, only some of the 3rd Party owned businesses that operate within the Disney World Resort downtown area will reopen at this time. Unfortunately, the rest of the Disney World resort will remain closed for the foreseeable future.
When Disney Springs opens back up later this month, it will still only do so on a limited basis. Capacity will only be at 50% for the first phase of reopening. WDW News Today did point out that:
Disney Springs will begin to reopen in a way that incorporates enhanced safety measures, including increased cleaning procedures, the use of appropriate face coverings by both cast members and guests, limited-contact guest services and additional safety training for cast members.
Disney Springs to reopen in limited capacity
One other thing WDW News Today pointed out is that:
During the initial opening phase, Disney Springs will have limitations on capacity, parking and operating hours. Additional protocols and procedures may be announced closer to the opening date.
We still do not yet know when the rest of the Disney World Resort will open back up for full-scale business. Hopefully, we’ll learnt hose details from Disney World soon.
