Yesterday, Star Wars fans received earth-shaking news about Ahsoka Tano. The fan-favorite character was finally cast in a live-action production. Rosario Dawson is set to play Ahsoka Tano in the second season of The Mandalorian in a guest role. That news was a big time deal for a lot of Star Wars lovers out there. People who have been begging to see Ahsoka in a live-action series, were finally getting their wish.
The Hollywood Reporter (scroll down) is saying something that might make Tano fans even more excited. The appearance in The Mandalorian season 2 might be a try-out for an entire series. Of course this is based on rumors right now. The whole thing is. So until we have a concrete say from Disney or Dave Filoni, no one will know for sure. The old saying goes, “where there’s smoke, there’s fire”. This is a perfect situation for that saying.
Fans might be divided on their love or hatred of the sequel series. The fact remains that there is a huge market and amount of material that bridges the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Stories that don’t necessarily have to be earth-shattering for Star Wars can be told. While The Mandalorian‘s plot might have larger consequences down the line, the first season was a pretty small story in the grand scheme of things. Ahsoka is a favorite of many fans out there, including me. I’d like to know what she’s up to. What do you think? Do you think there’s validity to these rumors? Let us know.
