Guns N’ Roses are set to go back on the world stage for another tour in 2025 but they’ll be doing it without longtime drummer Frank Ferrer. The band announced earlier this morning that Ferrer and them have amicably parted ways. They made the announcement in a post to their social media accounts.

Here’s what the full announcement said:

“The band thanks Frank for his friendship, creativity, and sturdy presence over the past 19 years, and wish him success in the next chapter of his musical journey. Frank first joined GNR during a show in June 2006 helping anchor the rhythm section during subsequent tours, including their recent outings featuring the reunited trio of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan. His last show with the band took place November 5th, 2023 in Mexico.”

There was no other announcement about a possible replacement for Ferrer in the band. He’s been through thick and thin including several start and stop release dates for their most recent album Chinese Democracy and their triumphant reunion tours.

Who Could Replace Frank Ferrer In Guns N’ Roses?

Naturally, you could look to the past for a drummer to step in for Ferrer in the band. Matt Sorum drummed for GNR in some of their biggest times during and after the release of Use Your Illusion. He used to be part of The Cult and could be open for a new/old gig in the band. The other option that immediately comes to mind would be Steven Adler, who drummed for the band in their early days up until the recording of Use Your Illusion. They also could bring in someone else who isn’t on the radar right now. Either way, this is sad to see Frank go, but hopefully he does well in his future projects.

As for Guns N’ Roses, they’re going on tour in 2025 around the world.

We’ll have to see who they pick to replace as the drummer.
