The next installment of the Spider-Man series with Tom Holland has found a rising star for Spider-Man 4. Deadline is reporting that Sadie Sink is set to join the joint production between Sony and Marvel Studios. Tom Holland is already locked in to return as Peter Parker. Destin Daniel Cretton is directing with Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige producing.

Sources say that Spider-Man 4 is going full-steam ahead, shooting early next year. It follows up the massively popular and successful Spider-Man: No Way Home. That film saw the entire world forget that Peter Parker was Spider-Man, including those who are closest to him like MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon).

As for who Sadie Sink is playing, Deadline offers up a theory that she’s playing Jean Grey, but they also offer up that she’ll be playing another beloved redheaded Spider-Man character. The role will be significant following the most recent film Spider-Man: No Way Home, concluding with Parker making the decision to wipe the knowledge of the world knowing Peter Parker is Spider-Man.

Following that, that likely means that the previous castmates will have lesser roles and newer ones will be brought on to add to the story, with Sink being a major role. Tom Holland is currently filming The Odyssey with Christopher Nolan and will start Spider-Man once that finishes up.

Who Is Sadie Sink?

Sadie Sink is most known to people out there for her role in Stranger Things. She and the rest of that cast are wrapping up the fifth and final season of the show this year. It recently wrapped production and will air later this year. She was also in the second part of the original Fear Street trilogy for Netflix. Her biggest film role came in Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale alongside Academy Award winner Brendan Fraser. She can be seen next in the film O’Dessa, which just world premiered at SXSW.
