One Piece is one of the most famous anime series in the world right now. It’s really no surprise if you’re a reader of the manga of the same name by Eiichiro Oda. The manga’s mix of high-octane action and silly Straw Hat Pirates antics is just as delightful to watch in anime form as it was to read. Alas, avid fans of that anime will remember that it went on a hiatus back in October 2024. All to give the animation team at Toei Animation time to draw up those new episodes just to keep pace with the manga.
Fortunately, the wait will soon be over. Toei Animation and Crunchyroll have just revealed exactly when the One Piece anime series will return to the Egghead Arc. According to them, new simulcast episodes will finally make their return on April 6, 2025. However, the return will be for specifically United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Latin America. If you live outside of those countries and territories, then you will have to wait for Crunchyroll to get back to you later.
Oh, and a few more things. The English dubs (1109-1122) and One Piece specials (14, 15, 16) will also be making their return, but far earlier than the simulcast. Those dubs and specials will return to Crunchyroll on March 18, 2025. Alas, it will be for the same countries and territories as above, so we can only hope that Crunchyroll will get back to you all later. Regardless though, you can watch both returns of One Piece only on Crunchyroll.
One Piece Returning to Crunchyroll After October 2024 Hiatus

One Piece fans will surely be rejoicing at this news. It has been months since we last saw new episodes of the anime, after all. Not only that, but they basically left off in one of the most plot-heavy arcs to boot. This shall be a glorious day when we finally get to see that arc continue in anime form. Now all we have to do is wait just a little longer to see them.
