“Rule Breakers” form Angel Studios is now in theaters. This is a captivating story of empowerment, courage, and the power of education despite the oppressive forces of the Taliban in Afghanistan. This film is based on the true story of the first all-female robotics team in the country. This film comes just in time for International Women’s Day and showcases how despite a system that looks to silence and control women, freedom and education can still blossom.

With the release of “Rule Breakers” we spoke with Nikohl Boosheri and Amber Afzali. They are two of the lead actresses in the film. In our conversation we talk about the message of the film in regard to the empowerment of women in an oppressive society. As well as the depiction of Afghanistan in a different more positive light that showcases some of the progressive and forward thinking population that wants women to go further in education and achieve goals like the girls that inspired the film.
