So the biggest question we all had about Nicholas Galitzine being cast as He-Man in the upcoming Masters of the Universe film was… would he be jacked? It’s He-Man, he needs to be huge! Well, in a new post from their official account Amazon MGM Studios has seemingly put those rumors to bed. They’ve shown off at least a small sliver of what He-Man looks like in the upcoming film with the Sword of Power.

Masters of the Universe is shaping up to be quite the stacked film. Travis Knight is directing the upcoming film, slated for release in on June 5th, 2026. It stars Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Morena Baccarin asThe Sorceress and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, James Purefoy as King Randor, and Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena.

As for plot details, they’re a bit under wraps, but you can assume that it’ll see Skeletor and He-Man doing battle for the fate of Eternia. The 1980s toy line and cartoon saw Castle Grayskull as the target of numerous attacks by Skeletor, Hordak and the Snake Men, all of whom believe the secrets inside will allow them to conquer Eternia and the entire universe, thus becoming the Masters of the Universe. The castle is instrumental in the transformation of He-Man.

What Do We Think Of He-Man’s Look?

Well, there’s the most important thing. He-Man looks huge. That’s already a good start. Getting the look of him right is the easy part though. The real question is how the other non-human-looking characters will fare. What will Skeletor look like? How about Trap-Jaw? Those are the characters that I’m sure everyone is waiting to see. Will the movie look like the cartoon with vibrant colors and characters? We’ll have to see when the film releases in theaters on June 5th, 2026.
