The new horror starlet on the scene Mia Goth is joining the cast of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Variety has confirmed that Goth is joining the cast of the epic film. She’ll be joined by Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Jon Bernthal and John Leguizamo. Nolan is writing and directing the film which goes into production soon and releases in theaters on July 17th, 2026.
The Odyssey is a fundamental piece of human literature that forms the backbone of all storytelling. It follows the Greek hero Odysseus on his world-trekking journey home after the Trojan War. The story was written by the Ancient Greek Homer over 2000 years ago and is one of the oldest stories ever written. Here’s what Universal had to say about the film.

Nolan will produce the film alongside his partner Emma Thomas. The film will shoot on location in Sicily, which is where Odysseus actually goes in the story. The production begins this Spring on the Island of Favignana.

Mia Goth is well known to horror movie fans these days for her roles in the X Trilogy (X, Pearl, MaXXXine), Infinity Pool, and Suspiria. She will also star in the upcoming Guillermo del Toro adaptation of Frankenstein. As for her role in the film, that’s unknown at the moment. The details of The Odyssey are pretty tight in regard to who is playing what character.
